Ride The North Cycle Event

I am the organiser of a cycling event called Ride the North

– it’s a 2 day tour of North East Scotland which (mostly) takes cyclists around the backroads linking up villages and roads that are great for cycling. We are working with 12 charities this year, all of whom are active in the local area.

The event begins and ends at Castle Fraser and we have around 800 cyclists taking part. On Saturday 26 august they will pass along the B993 (past the golf club) and then along Riverside Drive roughly between 0740hrs and 1030hrs heading towards Burnhervie (and then Inverurie). The route for Saturday is posted here

On Sunday afternoon (27th) they will return via Monymusk rather than Kemnay.

I don’t think any of this will inconvenience anyone significantly, but I’d very much like to be able to warn local people so they know it is happening. Of course if it’s a nice morning and anybody wants to come out and watch there will be cyclists passing every minute or two and they will be happy to get support.

Any help to share/spread this message would be appreciated.
